To make your enrollment process as easy as possible, follow the steps below to enroll:

Step 1: Call Center Enrollment within 30 days of your hire date or qualifying life event (QLE).

Open Enrollment Call Center Hours: 9 AM – 8 PM EST. (Weekdays only, closed on major holidays)
Open Enrollment Call Center Number: 610.586.3402. No appointment is necessary!

Please note that during your enrollment process, you will be asked to designate beneficiaries for your employer-provided life insurance policy.

Step 2: Access your Benefit Confirmation Statement!

Please note: The self-service site is available 24/7. You can modify your benefit elections only during Open Enrollment or if you experience a Life Event. However, you may update beneficiaries, download your benefit confirmation statement, and process Life Events throughout the year within 30 days.

Step 3: After Enrollment Pending Tasks (if applicable)

After completing your enrollment, NEW Dependent documentation must be submitted to HR at [email protected], or you may bring it to the HR office before/after completing changes in Beacon: Marriage Certificates or Divorce Decrees, Court orders requiring coverage, Birth certificates for child(ren), and Social Security cards for all new dependents. Domestic Partners are ineligible.

If you are experiencing a QLE, you must notify HR within 30 days of the Qualifying Event and provide proof/ supporting documentation via email to [email protected] for pending approval. Dependent Age Outs: Dependents are covered under your Health/Vision, Prescription, and Dental until the day they turn 26. EXAMPLE: Jane Smith’s child, Janet, turns 26 on April 9th, 2026. Coverage will end at 11:59 PM on April 8th, 2026. Any new coverage Janet elects will be effective April 9th, 2026. COBRA-eligible dependents will receive a letter for an opportunity to elect COBRA once their coverage ends.

Bethlehem Area School District offers coverage based on your contract guidelines. Plan information shared is only available to you based on your Job Class. Your assigned benefits will populate at the time of enrollment.

Your New Hire/Qualifying Life Events enrollment is your opportunity to elect, waive, or adjust your benefits for the 2026 calendar year.
